A dryer vent cleaning takes approximately 30 minutes - an hour depending on various factors. 

Various factors are considered when determining prices of a cleaning. These factors include but are not limited to: the location of the dryer termination, the location of the dryer inside your residence, the length of the dryer vent, the time it takes to get to your residence from our office, and if the dryer has a booster fan.

We base our quote on information provided to us by the caller (or homeowner). If this information is found to be inaccurate the cost of service will be adjusted accordingly on the day of the service. 

The NFPA recommends having your dryer vent cleaned annually. This is subjective and should ultimately be determined based on usage. 

If your dryer is not drying your clothes efficiently or it takes multiple cycles to dry your clothes this is generally a result of a dirty duct! Dryer exhaust systems take moist hot air and vent it outside. If the vent is dirty or blocked the dryer can not breathe efficiently. 

This can be a two-part problem! You may need a dryer vent cleaning and an appliance tech to fix this issue.

Your dryer may not be heating as a result of a dirty duct. If your vent is blocked your dryer can not expel moist hot air efficiently. The first step in fixing this issue would be to have your vent professionally cleaned. 

In certain circumstances, a blocked vent may cause components inside your dryer to fail. The most common thing to fail is the dryer's thermal fuse.

A burning smell may be a result of an accumulation of lint inside the cabinet of your dryer. This occurs over time. Backpressure from the exhaust system may cause lint to accumulate inside the dryer. If this happens you may need a dryer vent cleaning in addition to having the dryer delinted. Lint is highly flammable. Do not use the dryer until this problem is resolved. 

Foul odors can be a result of a dead bird or rodent that made its way into your dryer exhaust system.
